While the “Letty Lynton” release draws all the attention of classic-film fans, don't miss out on other beloved titles set to debut this month.

Cary Grant Audrey Hepburn Charade
Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn in 1963's Charade, set for a Criterion Collection release this month.

Raise your hand if you've already pre-ordered Letty Lynton, the legendary Joan Crawford film that was lost to a copyright dispute, but to the tremendous excitement of classic-film fans will now be released on June 30. (Yes, I'm raising my hand, can't wait to watch it for the first time.)

Of course Letty is far from the only movie that will enjoy a new life on Blu-ray this year. If you love the marriage of classic film, terrific stories, fashion and escapism, we gathered five more Summer 2026 Blu-ray titles you'll want to add to your library. Let's dig in:

Blu-ray cover of Charade Cary Grant Audrey Hepburn

The Criterion Collection

Starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn

Directed by Stanley Donen

Hepburn's costumes by Hubert de Givenchy

Available 02 June 2026

List price: $39.95 for a one-disc DVD or Blu-ray, $49.95 for a two-disc Blu-ray, at Amazon

Famously this is the Hitchcock film that Hitchcock never directed, with Stanley Donen creating a style-meets-mystery vibe that Alfred surely must have loved. Hepburn plays a woman in an unhappy marriage, and in an early scene she flirts with the handsome man played by Grant while at a Swiss ski resort. Only later do we realize that Grant's presence was not accidental. When Hepburn's Regina Lampert returns from that vacation to her Paris apartment, she finds all her belongings gone, she's informed that the husband is dead, and Grant's character is never far away. Throw in a stylish wardrobe by Hubert de Givenchy, a group of nefarious supporting characters and a thrilling chase scene, and it's little wonder this is a favorite among classic-film fans. This Blu-ray features a new 4K digital restoration, while surely the most coveted extras include the 1999 audio commentary by Donen and screenwriter Peter Stone. A must for any classic library.

Blu-ray cover of To Kill a Mockingbird Gregory Peck Mary Badham

Universal Studios

Starring Gregory Peck, Mary Badham, John Megna, Brock Peters and Robert Duvall

Directed by Robert Mulligan

Costumes by Rosemary Odell

Available 16 June 2026

List price: $29.96, at Amazon

Amid the pantheon of truly beloved films, it doesn't get much better than To Kill a Mockingbird. The film based on Harper Lee's iconic book was lovingly made by director Robert Mulligan to reflect the story of a widowed father caring for his children in the Depression-era south, and the lessons he imparts to them in their formative years. And it's rife with tender and memorable moments; near the film's end, if the line, "Miss Jean Louise, stand up. Your father's passing." doesn't get to you, you may want to check yourself for a heartbeat.

This two-disc set in a limited-edition steelbook case is offered in 4K Ultra HD and includes a feature commentary by Mulligan and producer Alan J. Pakula, as well as multiple tributes to Peck, including his Academy Awards acceptance speech when he won Best Actor for his work in this film.

Blu-ray cover of Strange Cargo Clark Gable Joan Crawford

Warner Archive Collection

Starring Clark Gable and Joan Crawford

Directed by Frank Borzage

Crawford's costumes by Adrian (uncredited)

Available 30 June 2026

List price: $24.98, at Amazon

Even if Adrian did design Crawford's costumes for this film, don't expect their typical glamorous collaboration — so much so that the legendary designer took no onscreen credit for this film. And why would he? Strange Cargo is the story of convicts escaping a Devil's Island penal colony, a cast of characters that also includes Ian Hunter, Peter Lorre and Paul Lukas. But it's the undeniable attraction of Gable and Crawford, as a prisoner and waitress, that dominates this story. That also goes for the extras, which include a "Gable and Crawford" featurette. A new 4K restoration from the film's best preservation elements, this film is also the final pairing of this high-wattage duo, long rumored to be connected offscreen as well prior to his 1939 marriage to Carole Lombard.

Queen Kelly Blu-ray cover Gloria Swanson

Milestone Films

Starring Gloria Swanson and Walter Byron

Directed by Erich von Stroheim

Costumes by Max Rée

Available 16 June 2026

List price: TBD, at Amazon

It's one of the best-known unfinished films in Hollywood history, and now it's been lovingly restored — and perhaps finished? The jury is out until June 16, when Milestone Films, in partnership with Kino Lorber, releases Queen Kelly, a silent film that was teeming with excess at the time it was produced. Star Gloria Swanson famously was the paramour of financier Joseph P. Kennedy, who bankrolled this story of a convent girl who is kidnapped while out on an innocent walk, and then cast from society when she's found with her kidnapper the next morning. A life or both ruin and riches follows, the latter justifying the film's title. Swanson and Kennedy famously hired Erich von Stroheim to direct, and that's only the start of where the excess kicked in; instead of the masterpiece that was demanded and anticipated, the film famously was never finished.

Working with sources that include the George Eastman Museum and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, Milestone Films co-founder Dennis Doros pieced together the film's ending and added a new orchestral score by composer Eli Denson to create perhaps the most complete version of this 1929 silent. This new 4K restoration and reconstruction also includes the 1932 film, a truncated version of the original, among its extras, as well as an audio commentary by film historian Richard Koszarski and an introduction Swanson did when Queen Kelly aired on public-broadcast station WNET in 1966. At press time in late May, a price and pre-order link had not been released; Screen Chic will update the post when that information is confirmed.

Night and Day Blu-ray cover Cary Grant Alexis Smith

Warner Archive Collection

Starring Cary Grant and Alexis Smith

Directed by Michael Curtiz

Wardrobe by Milo Anderson and Travilla

Available 30 June 2026

List price: $24.98, at Amazon

This sanitized version of Cole Porter's life is roundly agreed to be an ultra-fluffy take that skirts the real-life truths about the legendary American composer and songwriter. Then again, if it's escapism you're seeking, this might just be the ultimate example. This musical retelling of Porter's life, through his early successes on Broadway to his troubled marriage to wife Linda, skips many details that wouldn't have made it into a film unspooling in 1946. Instead Night and Day positions the talent of Porter, played by Cary Grant, as a natural gift (as it was) that results in legendary numbers that include "You're the Top," "I've Got You Under My Skin," and of course the title number. Alexis Smith has the tougher job as Linda, who increasingly becomes frustrated as work supercedes all for her husband. But because this is 1946 Hollywood, viewers can count on a romantic reunion at the film's end.

This new 4K restoration from the Technicolor negatives doesn't boast much in the way of extras, so you have to rely on the escapist vibe of the story and the outstanding supporting cast, which includes Monty Woolley, Eve Arden, Jane Wyman and a wonderful Mary Martin, who recreates the 1938 Broadway performance of "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" (from Porter's musical Leave It to Me!) that made her famous.
